Lilliputing reviews the HP Mini 1000

Following up yesterday's review of the HP Mini 1000 by The Star's InTech, we now have a review from Lilliputing. The review covers some areas not mentioned in the earlier review, such as the 3 cell battery that fits flush underneath the netbook, which I very much prefer than having the battery sticking out at the rear like in most thin notebooks. Speaking of battery, Lilliputing's review also give some numbers you can expect from the 3 cell battery. It's pretty good, between 2.5 to 3.5 hours when using the netbook for surfing, editing documents and other basic tasks...

Other interesting aspects are the speakers on the HP Mini 1000. Lilliputing found the speakers to be the best among other netbooks because of the unique design that combines the speaker and the screen hinge. The speaker is able to project the sound unimpeded.

if you're considering the 1000 you really should go with a 311 instead, much more bang for the buck: http://newnetbookreviews.net
